Since its mysterious appearance inGoogle search results, PubMedHealth has been a notable topicamong medical librarians and theblogging community. In August2010, the MidContinental Region News[1] announced the new PubMedHealth resource from the NationalCenter for Biotechnology Information(NCBI), which was quickly followedby a post from The Krafty Librarian [2];however, no official announcementwas made about this new resource.Then, PubMed Health appeared asthe number one Google search resultfor medications starting in August2010 and made a bigger appearance inFebruary 2011 [3], creating severalquestions among the blogging community.With still no official announcement,the blogging communitywas left to fill in the gaps [4]. Thesudden arrival of this new resourcecreated a flurry of questions, followedby uncertainty until finally NCBItweeted [5] about the new PubMedHealth on March 2, 2011,with a link tothe newly released home page.
