The thirty-third meeting of the Association was most successful, pointing the way to many such meetings of a practical character. Two lessons of great importance have come out of this meeting: the evident desire of the members for round-table and question-box discussion of practical problems, and the need of greater opportunities for personal contacts. One of the great advantages of attending the meetings is the acquaintances made among librarians. The attendance record shows that libraries from California to Vermont, from Texas to Canada were represented at the meeting. Librarians came all the way from Galveston, Texas,- New Orleans and San Francisco to attend the convention. The Executive Boards of all medical libraries who are members of the Association should make it a rule to send their librarians to the annual meetings of the Association at the expense of the libraries. Such a policy will prove of incalculable benefit to the libraries.
