The Department of Classical, Near Eastern and Religious Studies isseeking applications for a 12-Month Lecturer position in Greek andRoman History. Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in ClassicalStudies or a related field. The successful candidate will possess astrong commitment to teaching and be able to teach surveys of Greekand Roman history, as well as specialized upper-level courses onAthens in the classical period and Alexander the Great. The ability toteach introductory languages is also particularly desired. The positioninvolves teaching 24 credits (equivalent of eight 3-credit courses) andparticipating fully in student advising, departmental service, eventsand initiatives. The 1-year appointment is expected to commenceSeptember 1, 2015. This position is subject to final budgetaryapproval. Reappointment will be subject to performance andavailability of funds.
