The Department of Classical, Near Eastern and Religious Studies(CNERS) at the University of British Columbia–Vancouver campusinvites applications for a tenure-track appointment, effective July 1, 2012, at the rank of Assistant Professor. The primary research focusof the position is in Greek literature, particularly poetry, but we alsowelcome applications from candidates working on intersectionsbetween Greek and Roman literature and culture. The personappointed will be willing and able to teach Greek language andliterature at every level including graduate level; the ability to teachLatin too will be an advantage.
