摘要

The method of extended crossing beams has been used to study electron-impactexcitation of the dysprosium atom energy levels that belong to the 4f106s7sconfiguration. Ninety-one excitation cross sections have been measured atincident electron energy of 30 eV. Cross-section measured are within the range of10-18 to 10-19 cm2in most cases. Spontaneous emission rises as a result of bothallowed and forbidden transitions from the excited levels covered in the study.
