In this paper, the irreducible characters of dihedral groups of order 2 ( ≥ 3) were discussed. The method adopted uses some basic facts on dihedral groups, representation theory and the Group’s Algorithms and Programming (GAP) to obtain the results. It was observed that all dihedral groups of order 2 ( ≥ 3) are non abelian and non simple groups.
