When a high performance cluster is demanded and the cost for purchase and operation of servers,workstations or personal computers as nodes is a challenge, single board computers may be an option tobuild inexpensive cluster systems. This paper describes the construction of such clusters and analyzes theirperformance and energy-efficiency with the High Performance Linpack (HPL) benchmark.
