In this research electrochemical studies were performed on stainless steels and compared to Cunifer,Monel and Alloy 59 in 3.5% NaCl solution at (222) C and (502) C at 200 rpm. Those materialshave been evaluated using weight loss, Tafel polarization, cyclic polarization and scanning electronmicroscopy techniques. Material with the best performance was Alloy 59 which could be used in theseawater environment at (222) C and (502) C. Materials with very high percentages of chromiumand molybdenum showed high resistance toward selective corrosion and materials with high levels ofcopper showed excellent resistance toward pitting corrosion.
