Samples with nominal starting compositions (Tl1-xRex)Sr2CaCu2O7- (x = 0.05- 0.30) were prepared bythe solid state reaction method. Superconducting fluctuations and excess conductivity analysis wascarried out using the Aslamazov-Larkin (AL) theory to determine the dimension of fluctuation inducedconductivity . The Lawrence-Donaich (LD) theory was used to calculate the coherence length c(0),Josephson coupling J, and anisotropy = (ab(0)/c(0)). XRD patterns indicated that the samples weredominantly Tl-1212 phase. Substitution of Re in place of Tl in (Tl1-xRex)Sr2CaCu2O7- showed Tc onsetbetween 70 K (x = 0.05) and 82 K (x = 0.25). Excess conductivity analyses showed that Resubstitution induced 2D-to-3D conductivity transition with the highest transition temperature, T2DDobserved at x = 0.25. The calculations based on Lawrence-Doniach model showed the shortestcoherence length, c(0) and highest anisotropy( =13.42 ) for the x = 0.25 sample.
