摘要

This study aimed to verify the influence of hydrodynamic behavior , obtained through the tool of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) , the profile of organic matter removal in anaerobic stabilization pond of Sewage Treatment Plant (WWTP) health Cacoal City , State Rond?nia . COD tests were performed in triplicate, following the method described in Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater (APHA, 1995). To simulate the hydrodynamic behavior of the anaerobic stabilization pond treatment plant sewage from the city of Cacoal, we used a software CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), which employs the finite volume method. It was noted with regard to the profile of removal of organic matter , the existence of an instability in the entry zone of the pond, possibly generated by the presence of recirculation zones present in this region , whereas in the intermediate zones and exit is verified relatively homogeneous , less influenced by the flow slug allowing complete mixing .
