Inaddition, natural disasters in the form of extreme weatherevents, as witnessed by the unprecedented floodingin the Islamic Republic of Iran, had the World Bank declaringthat the Region is among the most vulnerableto climate change and rising sea levels, with Egypt, Kuwait,Libya, Qatar, Tunisia and the United Arab Emiratesparticularly at risk (2,3).
