In Climatology, classifications are frequently used with the finality of grouping and/or differentiating behaviors of one or more meteorological elements in time and space. As a last phase of scientific research, classifications constitute the basis for the evaluation of results and synthesis. Nevertheless, in the particular case of Holdridge's Climatic Classification some conceptual and visual incoherencies —the later a product of graphic discrepancies— lead to non conclusive results, due to the fact that a locality might belong to two or even three different life zones. In relation to this issue, the present work is a contribution that intends to solve the limitations by means of applying: 1. A numerical technique such as the Cluster Analysis based in a rectangular system of coordinates in which the distance between individuals is used to determine their assignation to different groups, each with homogeneous characteristics. 2. A graphic technique, such as the use of AutoCAD software, Version 14, for the design of the Holdridge digital nomogram in order to diminish the visual graphic discrepancy and allow the univocal establishment of the life zone associated to each studied locality.
