摘要

Natural frequencies and modal density of an empty and partly filled rectangular room are computed using FEM and by well-known simple formulae. It is revealed that modal density of filled room may be calculated by simple formula but room volume and total area of room surfaces should be calculated taking volume and surface area of filling into account.
