Improvement of resonant concentrating element with extended radiation surface

The article presents results of investigation of specialized concentrating ultrasonic element (working instrument) with extended radiation surface. The theoretical model for its oscillation amplitudes distribution calculation was developed. This model can be used for calculation of concentrating element geometrical sizes that provide required its technical characteristics (gain and resonant frequency). For inspection of developed model, concentrating element geometrical sizes were calculated by FEM. It was found that discrepancy with the developed model is less than about 10%. Developed model applicability was confirmed by experimental studies. Theoretical and experimental studies have allowed made geometrical sizes optimization of the concentrating element. This concentrating element has 6-times extended radiation surface and provides the same radiation intensity.
