Herewedescribemandibular,dental,andpostcranialremainsreferabletoRhinocerotidaeandChalicotheriidae(Perissodactyla)originatingfromthevertebratelocalitiesofKü?ük?ekmeceEastandKü?ük?ekmeceWest,inThrace(EuropeanTurkey).ThefourrhinocerotidsrecognizedcomprisetheearlydivergingRonzotheriumsp.(onelowermolar,reworkedfromOligocenedeposits;Kü?ük?ekmeceWest),thetwo-hornedrhinocerotineCeratotheriumneumayri(Osborn,1900),andtwosmallchilothereaceratheriines:Chilotheriumschlosseri(Weber,1905)andPersiatheriumsp.Achalicotheriinechalicotheriid,Kalimantsiasp.,isdocumentedbytwotoothfragmentsandanunfusedsecondphalanxofundoubtfulaffinitiesinKü?ük?ekmeceWest.ThisoccurrencesubstantiatestherecordofKalimantsia,previouslyrestrictedtothetypelocalityKalimantsi-Pehsata,inSWBulgaria,andallowsnotablyforthefirstrecognitionofpostcranialremainsforthistaxon.Althoughdistinctintermsoftaxonomiccompositionandrelativeabundance,therhinocerotidassemblagesofKü?ük?ekmeceEastandKü?ük?ekmeceWestareintotalagreementwithasinglebiostratigraphicalage,estimatedtobecorrelatedwiththelateVallesianMN10zone.
