Propagationofion-acousticsolitarywavesinacollisionless,unmagnetisedsingle-electron-temperatureplasmacontainingwarmpositiveandnegativeiondriftsofequaltemperaturesisstudied.Itisfoundthat,iftheionshavefinitetemperatures,thenthereexisttwomodes,namelytheslowandthefastion-acousticmode.Theeffectofionictemperaturesandnegativeionsonphasevelocities(thefastandslowion-acousticmodes)ofthesolitarywavesarediscussedfortheplasmashaving(He+,O-),(He+,Cl-)and(H+,O-)ions.
