摘要

The aim of the study was to determine the role of calcium and magnesium on phytoremediation of heavy metals using willow. The study was conducted with a model system of woody cuttings of Salix viminalis, growing in hydroponic culture, under controlled conditions. Seedlings were cultivated on Knop nutrient solution containing calcium and magnesium (Ca:Mg) in the ratio as follows: 20:1, 1:10, 1:1/4, and 4:1 (control relation). For each variant of nutrient solution, cadmium and lead were added separately in two concentrations of 0.1 mM (control level) and 0.5 mM. Biometric determinations were carried out covering the length of shoots, leaf area and the length of roots. It was found that the Ca:Mg ratio significantly modified plant growth and bioaccumulation of Cd and Pb. Stimulation of Salix growth was the effect of the increase of Ca in the medium (Ca:Mg = 20:1), however, bioacumulation of both metals was not the highest.
