At the present stage of economic development of oil and gas industry, work safety problems of mining operations intensification in oil mines gained relevance. The choice of the penetration method determines the qualitative and quantitative structure of harmful and hazardous industrial factors (HHIF) that affect workers as a result of using tunneling equipment.The basis of studies of the tunnel works intensification effect on the level of safety comprises HHIF identification and quantification, photographic recording of drifter work time, cycling of different ways of penetration by the example of the oil mine of Yaregskoye field where drilling and blasting method is replaced by mechanized one - roadheader. The study is focused on the comparative assessment of total levels of negative factors affecting operating personnel before and after the modernization of labor instruments.The goal predetermined the development of the comparison method based on the evaluation of negative factors “dose-effect”. This approach not only takes into account the absolute values of HHIF levels, but also the time of their impact on an employee. The advantage of the proposed mathematical model is the estimation of the total levels of all negative factors affecting the staff, characterizing the combined level of harm and danger during the working process. This not only allows us to organize the facts on levels of negative factors and their affect time, but also to examine the state of the working environment at various ways of penetration with modernization of labor instruments.The end result of the research was to interconnect operational conditions with production processes of tunnel works intensification in order to support the production, economic and social solutions in the workplace safety management in an organization
