Lang’s motivation forwriting the book is given a few sentences later: “…in thelatter part of the 20th century, it [origami] exploded invariety, complexity, and artistry, with numerous genresand specializations.” He could not have spelled out thecontemporary origamist’s quandary better and could nothave provided us with a better solution: a well-written,exceptionally structured book that makes a perfect compendiumof geometric origami.
