：Objective To investigate the current situation of intravenous infusion in a certain hospital of the medical alliance in Sichuan, and to analysis the potential problems affecting the quality of intravenous infusion, in order to provide reference for development of management measures. Methods 〓The Quality Evaluation Standard of Intravenous Infusion made by Nurses Association of Sichuan and a self-made questionnaire were used to investigate the intravenous infusion quality in a certain level-two hospital of the medical alliance in Sichuan. Results 〓Totally 642 patients were interviewed. The main problem affecting the intravenous infusion was nonstandard fixation and maintenance of dressing(57.01%). The percentage of average score in quality assessment of intravenous infusion was 32.60%. Conclusion 〓There were many safety risks of intravenous infusion in the grassroots hospital. Efforts should be made to enhance the supervision measures, establish the quality control system, and improve the training and assessment of intravenous infusion among nurses. It is also required to make use of high-quality nursing resource from the medical alliance in Sichuan, in order to ensure the safety of intravenous infusion.
