Abstract：ABSTRACT: Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of unprotected perineum midwives in puerperas with vaginal delivery. Methods A total of 80 primiparas with normal delivery were selected and randomly divided into two groups, 40 cases in each group. Observation group was conducted with unprotected perineum midwives, while control group was conducted with the conventional protective perineum midwives. Rate of lateral episiotomy, rate of vaginal laceration of perineum and condition of perineal pain were compared between two groups. Results In the observation group, the rate of lateral episiotomy was 30%, and the moderate pain rate of perineum was 7.5%. In the control group, the rate of lateral episiotomy was 80%, and the moderate pain rate of perineum was 32.5%. The rate of lateral episiotomy and condition of perineal pain in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group (P0.05). Conclusion Compared with the conventional protective perineum midwives, unprotected perineum midwives can reduce the rate of lateral episiotomy in primiparas, alleviate the perineal pain and improve comfortable degree, so it is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
