Abstract:Objective To investigate the experience of patients with gynecological tumors at different stages on peripherally inserted central catheterization(PICC). Methods 〓The phenomenological methodology was applied to semi-structured interview with 10 patients with gynecological tumors undergoing PICC. Results 〓Six themes were extracted, including fear and tension, physical discomfort, skin allergy, perceived benefit, inconvenience in maintenance and economic pressure. Conclusion It is required to establish a individualized, whole-process and continuing nursing for patients with gynecological tumors according to their experience at different stages on PICC.
