Abstract:Objective To investigate the nursing assessment and management of postoperative movement-related pain after cesarean section in second birth parturient women. Methods 〓Totally 60 second birth parturient women undergoing cesarean section were assigned to the control group(n=30)and the observation group(n=30). Both two groups received postoperative pain control after cesarean section. In the observation group, the numeric rating scale(NRS)on pain and functional activity scale(FAS)was performed to assess the postoperative movement-related pain, and related nursing interventions were carried out. The FAS and NRS score of parturient women in a resting state and in a functional activity state were observed. The self-made questionnaire was used to investigate the pain-related information in parturient women. Results 〓The FAS level in the observation group was lower than that of controls at 24 hours after cesarean section(P0.01). Parturient women in the observation group had a lower NRS score compared with that of controls in resting and functional activity state(P0.01). There were less parturient women with medium or severe pain in the observation group than that in the control group(P0.01). The breast feeding of Parturient women in the observation group were less influenced by postoperative pain(P0.01). Conclusion 〓it is necessary to perform nursing assessment and management on postoperative movement-related pain after cesarean section, so as to improve the quality of pain control in second birth parturient women.
