Abstract：Objective To evaluate the continuing nursing and family support intervention after surgical treatment for early cervical cancer. Methods 〓Totally 80 patients with radical operation for early cervical cancer were assigned to the observation group and the control group, with 40 cases in each group. Patients of both two groups were given health education before discharge and routine follow-up management, and those in the observation group were given continuing nursing based on family support. The Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Cervix(FACT-Cx)And Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale(FACESⅡ-CV)were used to assess the quality of life and family function after 6-month follow-up. Results 〓There were 2 cases in the observation group and 3 cases in the control group lost to follow-up. At 6 months after treatment, the overall score FACT-Cx and scores of social/family well-being, functional well-being, cervical cancer-specific were higher in the observation group than those of controls(P0.05). Patients of the observation group achieved a higher score of family cohesion in FACESⅡ-CV compared with that of patients in the controls(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The continuing nursing and family support intervention are effective to improve the quality of life and family cohesion of patients after surgical treatment for early cervical cancer.
