Abstract:Objective To evaluate the intra-hospital transport pathway for critically ill patients. Methods 〓Totally 936 critically ill patients received intra-hospital transport were set as the control group between January, 2016 and June, 2016. Another 972 patients received intra-hospital transport were set as the observation group between July, 2016 and December, 2016. The routine conventional procedure was used in the control group, while the intra-hospital transport pathway was adopted in the observation group. Results 〓The satisfactory degree of medical workers from the clinical ward and laboratory department was 69.39% and 74.63%(153/205)in the observation group, and was 63.92%(365/571)and 60.65%(205/338)in the control group, with a significant difference(P0.05). The incidence of nursing defects such as insufficient supportive equipments, unfamiliar with disease condition during shit, inadequate communication before transport, inadequate crew in place was lower in the observation group than that of controls respectively(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The application of intra-hospital transport pathway can improve the satisfactory degree of medical workers from the clinical ward and laboratory department, and ensure the safety of critically ill patients.
