:Objective To investigate the awareness and learning intentions of disaster relief knowledge in high school students, and to explore the relevant influencing factors. Methods 〓A questionnaire-based investigation was conducted to 2232 12th grade students from 6 high schools in Lanzhou, in which 1092 cases from schools in urban areas and 1140 cases from schools in county areas. Results 〓There were 2232 valid questionnaires(n=1092 from schools in urban areas, n=1140 from schools in county areas)for the further analysis. There was a significant difference in the awareness of the rescue knowledge of common disasters accidents between 12th grade students from schools in different areas(χ2 =14.52, P0.01), which indicated that students from schools in urban areas had more awareness of the rescue knowledge of common disaster. There was a significant difference in the willingness to participate in the training of disasters emergency rescue between 12th grade students from schools of different areas(χ2 = 25.61, P0.01), which indicated that students from schools in county areas had more willingness to participate in the training of disasters emergency rescue. Conclusion The high school students have a strong desire to participate in the training of disasters emergency rescue. There is a urgent need of training to improve students’ awareness and skills in the case of common disasters.
