Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of scraping combined with acupoint application with traditional Chinese medicine in treatment of intractable constipation in convalescence of cerebral hemorrhage. Methods A total of 44 patients with intractable constipation were enrolled and assigned to the control group(n=20)and observation group(n=24). Both two groups received routine nursing care and diet intervention, and the scraping combined with acupoint application with traditional Chinese medicine were carried out in the observation group, seven days as a whole course. The overall efficacy on constipation, incidence of complications, and satisfaction degree to nursing service were compared between two groups. Results The overall efficacy on constipation in first course was higher in the observation group than that of controls(P0.05). Patients in the observation group had a lower incidence of complications and higher satisfaction rate compared with those in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion Application of scraping combined with acupoint application with traditional Chinese medicine can effectively alleviate the intractable constipation in convalescence of cerebral hemorrhage.
