:Objective To investigate the effect of insulin-pump therapy in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Methods 〓Totally 120 T2DM patients receiving recombinant human insulin injection were included, and assigned to the multiple subcutaneous injection(SC)group(n=60)insulin-pump(IPT)group(n=60)according to the method of insulin injection. The changes in indexes related to plasma glucose were observed before and after treatment. The time to reach target glucose level and insulin dosage were compared between two groups. Results The levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG)and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2h-PBG)were decreased in both two groups after the treatment, and levels of IPT and FBG were better in IPT than those in the SC group(P0.05). Patients in the IPT group had a shorter time to reach target glucose level and lower daily insulin dose compared with those in the SC group(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The insulin-pump therapy is and effective treatment for controlling blood glucose of the patients with T2DM.
