摘要

A case study presented on Internet utilities embedded in Library system has been developed based on the data of 132 researchers of Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand. Now a days the role of academic libraries has been changed due to ICT revolution. The use of internet by the researchers at Kumaun University Nainital indicates their deep familiarity with internet specifically Google search engine which is favorite among them. Maximum researchers are found to be satisfied with their library staff. It has been found that the emergence of social networking sites like Whatsapp, Orkut, Facebook, and Twitter have reduced the usage of e-mails amongst the researchers and majority of them feel internet is essential for their research work.
