An Empirical Study of the Relationship of the Multinationalization of Human Resources and Management Results in Japanese Firms

摘要

The objective of this research is to clarify empirically the influence that the ongoing multinationalization of human resources has on management results in Japanese firms today. If multinationalization in Japanese commerce and society is to progress, innovation should be promoted by utilizing the diversity that can contribute to the growth of the Japanese economy. On the other side, various factors are related to the success or failure of a personnel system. This research typifies the strategic and organizational factors of companies relevant to their personnel systems, clarifies the suited personnel system. The multinationalization of human resources contributes to raising performance through innovation and so on, as confirmed by the questionnaire based on preceding research. In addition, some improvements to the personnel system for advancing innovation, for example, are found. On the other side, the necessity of increasing diversity in the personnel system, workplace environment, and so on of Japanese firms is suggested.
