Wars exhibit man’s inhumanity to man. This paper discusses war as a theme in a number of fictions and non-fictions. These sources show that wars create or cause social wounds which are difficult to heal. Particular attention is paid to the Nigerian-Biafra war. Keywords: War as treated in fiction and non-fiction shows man’s inhumanity to man. For most people, there will be no end to this war. There will be no starting again or continuing from where they stopped. For those who are maimed this war will never have an end. For those who are dead, there will be no starting afresh. For those who are ruined, there will be no continuing from where they stopped…
