摘要

The engine output characteristic offers very important informationduring the real application of the HCCI technology. This kind of combustionprocess significantly influences the wearing degree of the main enginecomponents or even the engine damage. The principle of the HCCI combustion isbasically beneficial, however, it can also be destructive. Described in this articleare measurements of the engine output characteristics in the case of anexperimental piston combustion engine. These measurements were performed bymeans of a data recording system, whereby the detonation combustion wasevaluated using a quantitative method. The real values of atmospheric conditionsand fuel mixture composition were added to the measured values. The resultingvalues were visually compared with a degree of the engine piston damage causedby the detonations.
