Inthispaper,tannicacid,fluorinetitanateandsilanecouplingagentpassivationsolutionwereusedtopreparehotdipgalvanizedsteelsheetpassivationcoating.Andthenthemechanismoffilmformationwasstudied.Themicrostructure,surfacecomposition,layerbylayerelementdistributionandmolecularstructureofgalvanizedsteelsheetpassivationcoatingwererevealedinscanningelectronmicroscopy,Xrayphotoelectronspectroscopy,glowdischargeatomicemissionspectrometryandinfraredspectrometry,respectively.Theresultsshowthat:inonehand,usingthesilanecouplingagentwouldproducemanysol-gelparticlesinthepassivationsolution.Ontheotherhand,tannicacidwouldproducespatialmeshstructure.Therefore,passivationsolutionwouldgenerateasmooth,uniformandcompactgalvanizedsteelsheetpassivationcoatingormembrane.
