Photospheric CNO Abundances of Solar-Type Stars

WedeterminedtheC,N,andOabundancesof160nearbyF,G,andKdwarfsandsubgiantsbyusingspectraobtainedwiththeHIDESspectrographatOkayamaAstrophysicalObservatory,withthepurposesof(1)establishingtherunsof$$mathrm{[C/Fe]},mathrm{[N/Fe]}$$,and$$mathrm{[O/Fe]}$$forthesegalacticdiskstarsinthemetallicityrangeof$$-1lesssimmathrm{[Fe/H]}lesssim+0.4$$,(2)searchingforanydifferenceintheCNOabundancesofplanet-hoststarsascomparedtonon-planet-hoststars,and(3)examiningtheconsistencyoftheabundancesderivedfromdifferentlinestocheckthevalidityoftheanalysis.Thenon-LTEeffectontheabundancedeterminationwastakenintoconsiderationbasedonourextensivestatistical-equilibriumcalculations.Weconfirmedthatconsistentabundancesaremostlyaccomplishedbetweendifferentlines,andthat$$mathrm{[C/Fe]}$$aswellas$$mathrm{[O/Fe]}$$progressivelyincreasewithadecreasein$$mathrm{[Fe/H]}$$withtheslopeoftheformer($$sim0.2hbox{--}0.3$$)beingshallowerthanthelatter($$sim0.4hbox{--}0.5$$),while$$mathrm{[N/Fe]}$$doesnotshowanyclearsystematictrendwiththemetallicity.The$$mathrm{[C/Fe]},mathrm{[N/Fe]}$$,and$$mathrm{[O/Fe]}$$valuesof27planet-harboringstars(includedinoursampleof160stars)wereshowntobepracticallyindistinguishablefromthoseexhibitedbynon-planet-harboringstarsofsimilarmetallicities.
