Basedonahigh-resolutionCOsurveyofVirgospiralswiththeNobeyamaMillimeter-waveArray,wedeterminedthedynamicalcentersusingvelocityfields,andderivedpositiona€“velocitydiagrams(PVDs)alongthemajoraxesofthegalaxiesacrosstheirdynamicalcenters.Weappliedanewiterationmethodtoderiverotationcurves(RCs),whichreproducetheobservedPVDs.Theobtainedhigh-accuracyRCsgenerallyshowasteepriseinthecentral$$sim100$$to200a€‰pcregions,followedbyflatrotationinthedisk.Weappliedadeconvolutionmethodtocalculatethesurface-massdensity(SMD)usingtheRCsbasedontwoextremeassumptionsthatthemassdistributioniseithersphericalorthin-diskshaped.Bothassumptionsgivenearlyidenticalresults,agreeingwitheachotherwithinafactoroftwoatanyradii.TheSMDdistributionsrevealedcentralmassivecoreswithpeakSMDof$$sim10^4hbox{--}10^5,{{{M}_{odot}}},mathrm{pc}^{-2}$$andatotalmasswithin200a€‰pcradiusoftheorderof$$sim10^9,{{{M}_{odot}}}$$.AcorrelationanalysisamongthederivedparametersshowsthatthecentralCO-lineintensityispositivelycorrelatedwiththecentralSMD,whichsuggeststhatthedeeperisthegravitationalpotential,thehigheristhemoleculargasconcentrationinthenuclei,regardlessofthemorphologicaltypes.
