Althoughabout40%ofthesoftX-raybackgroundemissionin0.4to1keVrangehasextragalacticoriginsandthusistotallyblockedbythegalacticabsorptioninmidplanedirections,itdecreasesatmostbyabout20%inmidplane.Suzakuobservationofthedirection,($$ell$$,$$b$$)$$=$$(235$$^circ$$,0$$^circ$$),showedanOvii$${ mK}alpha$$emissionintensitycomparablewiththatoftheMBM-12oncloudSuzakuobservation,butrevealedanarrowbumppeakedat$$sim$$0.9keV.Thelattercomponentispartlyfillingthedecreaseoftheextragalacticcomponentinmidplane.Thefeaturecanbewellrepresentedbyathinthermalemissionwithatemperatureofabout0.8keV.Becauseofthehighpressureimpliedforspatiallyextendedhotgas,theemissionislikelyasumofunresolvedfaintsources.WeconsideralargefractionoftheemissionoriginatesfromfaintdMstars.WeconstructedamodelspectrumforspatiallyunresolveddMstarsthatconsistentlyexplainstheobservedspectrumandthesurfacebrightness.ThemodelalsosuggeststhattheemissionfromdMstarsdecreasesveryrapidlywithincreasing$$b$$,andthusthatitcannotcompensateentirelythedecreaseoftheextragalacticcomponentat$$b$$$$sim$$2$$^circ$$a€“10$$^circ$$.
