Wereportontheresultsofmulti-epochobservationsofSgrA$$^*$$withVLBIExplorationofRadioAstrometry(VERA)at43GHz,carriedoutfrom2004to2008.Wedetectedatimevariationofthefluxatthe11%levelandtheintrinsicsizeat19%.Inaddition,comparisonswithpreviousVeryLongBaselineArray(VLBA)resultsshowedthatSgrA$$^*$$underwentaflaringeventforatleastlongerthan10din2007May.TheintrinsicsizeofSgrA$$^*$$remainedunchangedwithinthe1$$sigma$$levelfromthesizebefore/aftertheflaringevent,indicatingthatthebrightnesstemperatureofSgrA$$^*$$wasincreased.Theflaringeventoccurredwithin31d,whichisshorterthantherefractivetimescale.Moreoveritisdifficulttoexplaintheincreaseinthespectralindexattheflaringeventbyasimpleinterstellarscatteringmodel.Hence,theflaringeventismostlikelyassociatedwithchangesintheintrinsicpropertiesofSgrA$$^*$$.Weconsideredtheoriginofthebrightnesstemperaturevariation,andconcludedthattheflaringeventofSgrA$$^*$$couldbeexplainedbythecontinuousheatingofelectrons,suchasastandingshockinaccretionflow.
