WestudiedtheprotondamageeffectsoftheX-rayCCD,andsearchedforapossiblerestorationtechniqueinorbit.WemeasuredtheX-rayCCDperformancesafterirradiationatenergiesof2and9.5MeV,andconfirmedacleardegradationofthechargetransferefficiency(CTE)andtheenergyresolution.TorestorethedegradedCTEandenergyresolution,wetriedachargeinjectiontechnique,andfoundtheimprovementintheCTI(=1a?’CTE)andenergyresolutiontobe1/4and1/3,respectively.Wealsoestimatedtheenergylevelofthedeeptrap,whichcausesaquantizationofthedarkcurrentfromtheradiation-damagedpixels.Thetrapenergylevelwasabout0.57eV,orneartothecenterofforbiddenband.
