Wereportontheresultsofmultiepochverylongbaselineinterferometry(VLBI)observationswithVERA(VLBIExplorationofRadioAstrometry)ofthe22GHzH$$_{2}$$OmasersassociatedwiththeyoungstellarobjectSVS13intheNGC1333region.Wecarriedoutphase-referencingVLBIastrometry,andmeasuredtheannualparallaxofthemaserfeaturesinSVS13of4.25$$pm$$0.32mas,correspondingtoadistanceof235$$pm$$18pcfromtheSun.Ourresultisconsistentwithaphotometricdistanceof220pc,previouslyreported.Eventhoughthemaserfeaturesweredetectableonlyfor6months,thepresentresultprovidesthedistancetoNGC1333withmuchhigheraccuracythanphotometricmethods.Theabsolutepositionsandpropermotionshavebeenderived,revealingthattheH$$_{2}$$OmaserswithLSR(localstandardofrest)velocitiesof7a€“8kms$$^{-1}$$aremostlikelyassociatedwithVLA4A,whichisaradiocounterpartofSVS13.ItiscurrentlydifficulttoattributetheobservedpropermotionsofthemaserfeaturestoeitherthejetortherotatingcircumstellardiskassociatedwithVLA4A,whichshouldbeinvestigatedthroughfuturehigh-resolutionastrometricobservationsofVLA4AandotherradiosourcesinNGC1333.
