WecarriedoutanunbiasedmappingsurveyofdensemolecularcloudcorestracedbytheNH$$_3$$(1,1)and(2,2)inversionlinesintheGF9filament,whichcontainsanextremelyyounglow-massprotostar,GF9-2(2006,ApJ,653,1369).ThesurveywasconductedusingtheNobeyama45mtelescopeoveraregionof$$sim$$1.5D$$ imes$$1$$^{circ}$$withanangularresolutionof73".Thelarge-scalemaprevealedthatthefilamentcontainsatleast7densecores,aswellas3possibleones,locatedatregularintervalsof$$sim$$0.9pc.Ouranalysisshowsthatthesecoreshavekinetictemperaturesof$$lesssim$$10KandLTE-massesof1.8-8.2Ma??,whichmakesthemtypicalsitesoflow-massstarformation.Alloftheidentifiedcoresarelikelytobegravitationallyunstable,becausetheirLTE-massesarelargerthantheirvirialmasses.SincetheLTE-massesandseparationsofthecoresareconsistentwiththeJeansmassesandlengths,respectively,forthelow-densityambientgas,wearguethattheidentifiedcoresformedviathegravitationalfragmentationofthenatalfilamentarycloud.
