Wedevelopanovelmethodofmeasuringthelensingdistortionprofilesofclustersbystackingthea€?scaleda€?amplitudesofbackgroundgalaxyellipticitiesasafunctionofthea€?scaleda€?centricradiusaccordingtotheNavarroa€“Frenka€“White(NFW)predictionofeachcluster,basedontheassumptionthatthedifferentclustersinasamplefollowtheuniversalNFWprofile.FirstwedemonstratethefeasibilityofthismethodusingboththeanalyticalNFWmodelandsimulatedhalosinasuiteofhigh-resolutionN-bodysimulations.Wethenapply,asaproofofconcept,thismethodtotheSubaruweaklensingdataandtheXMM/ChandraX-rayobservablesforasampleof50massiveclustersintheredshiftrange0.15a€‰a‰¤a€‰za€‰a‰¤a€‰0.3,wheretheirhalomassesdifferfromeachotherbyuptoafactorof10.ToestimatetheNFWparametersofeachcluster,weusethehalomassproxyrelationofX-rayobservables,basedoneitherthehydrostaticequilibriumorthegasmass,andtheninferthehaloconcentrationfromthemodelscalingrelationofhaloconcentrationwithhalomass.WeevaluatetheperformanceoftheNFWscalinganalysisbymeasuringthescattersof50clusterlensingprofilesrelativetotheNFWpredictionsoverarangeofradii,0.14a€‰a‰¤a€‰R/[ha?’1a€‰Mpc]a€‰a‰¤a€‰2.8.Wefound4a€“6????-levelevidenceoftheuniversalNFWprofilein50clusters,forboththeX-rayhalomassproxyrelations,althoughthegasmassappearstobeabetterproxyoftheunderlyingtruemass.BycomparingthemeasurementswiththesimulationsofclusterlensingprofilestakingintoaccountthestatisticalerrorsofintrinsicgalaxyshapesintheSubarudata,wearguethatadditionalhalomasserrorsorintrinsicscattersof??(M500c)/M500ca??0.2a€“0.3couldreconcilethedifferencebetweenmeasurementsandsimulations.Thismethodallowsustosomeextenttopreservecharacteristicsofindividualclustersinthestatisticalweaklensinganalysis,therebyyieldinganewmeansofexploitingtheunderlyinggenuineformofthehalomassprofileandthehalomassproxyrelationsviaweaklensinginformation,undertheassumptionoftheexistenceoftheuniversalprofile.
