WatermasersaroundanAGBstar,IRC$$+$$60169,wereobservedatfourepochsusingtheJapaneseVLBInetworks.Thedistributionofthemaserfeaturesislimitedinathick-shellregion,whichhasinnerandouterexpansionvelocitiesof$$7,mathrm{km},mathrm{s}^{-1}$$and$$14,mathrm{km},mathrm{s}^{-1}$$atradiiof25a€‰masand120a€‰mas,respectively.Thedistributionofthered-shiftedfeaturesexhibitsaring-likestructure,thediameterofwhichis30a€‰mas,andcorrespondstotheinnerradiusofthemasershell.Thisimpliesthatdensegasaroundthestarobscuresred-shiftedemission.Althoughapositiona€“radialvelocitydiagramforthemaserfeaturesisconsistentwithasphericalshellmodel,therelativepropermotionsdonotindicateanexpansionmotionoftheshell.Aremarkablepropertyhasbeenfoundthatisapossibleperiodicchangeofthealignmentpatternofwatermaserspots.
