Weobtainedmid-infrared3.6and4.5$$mu$$mimagingofa$$z=$$6.96Ly$$alpha$$emitter(LAE),IOK-1,discoveredintheSubaruDeepField,usingSpitzerSpaceTelescopeInfraredArrayCameraobservations.Afterremovalofanearbybrightsource,wefoundthatIOK-1isnotsignificantlydetectedinanyoftheseinfraredbandsto$$m_{3.6mu{ mm}}sim$$24.00and$$m_{4.5mu{ mm}}sim$$23.54at3$$sigma$$.Fittingpopulationsynthesismodelstothespectralenergydistributionconsistingoftheupperlimitfluxesoftheoptical-to-infrarednon-detectionimagesandfluxesindetectionimages,weconstrainedthestellarmass,$$M_ast$$,ofIOK-1.ThisLAEcouldhaveeitheramassaslowas$$M_astlesssim$$2a€“9$$ imes$$10$$^{8}M_{odot}$$foryoungage($$lesssim$$10Myr)andlowdustreddening($$A_Vsim$$0)oramassaslargeas$$M_astlesssim$$1a€“4$$ imes$$10$$^{10}M_{odot}$$foreitheroldage($$gt$$100Myr)orhighdustreddening($$A_Vsim$$1.5).Thiswouldbewithintherangeofmassesof$$zsim$$3a€“6.6LAEsstudiedtodate,$$sim$$10$$^6$$a€“10$$^{10}M_{odot}$$.Hence,IOK-1isnotaparticularlyuniquegalaxywithextremelyhighmassorlowmass,butissimilartooneoftheLAEsseenatlaterepochs.
