Wereportonthedetectionofburstsof6.7GHzmethanolmaseremissioninahigh-massstar-formingregion,G33.64$$-$$0.21.Oneofthespectralcomponentsofthemaserinthissourcechangeditsfluxdensityby7timesthatofthepreviousday,anditdecayedwithatimescaleof5days.Theburstoccurredrepeatedlyinthespectralcomponent,andnoothercomponentsshowedsuchvariability.AVLBIobservationwiththeJapaneseVLBINetwork(JVN)showedthattheburstlocationwasatthesouthwestedgeofaspatialdistribution,andtheburstingphenomenonoccurredinaregionmuchsmallerthan70AU.Wesuggestanimpulsiveenergyrelease,likeastellarflare,asapossiblemechanismfortheburst.Theseresultsimplythat6.7GHzmethanolmaserscouldbeausefulnewprobeforstudyingburstingactivityintheprocessofthestarformationofhigh-massYSOswithahigh-resolutionofAUscale.
