Wenewlydevelopedamethodoflimb-eventdetectionfortheNobeyamaRadiograph,andshowtheresultsoveronesolar-cycle,1992Julya€“2004December.Wedetected785prominenceactivitiesand31flaresonthelimbbythismethod.Weinvestigatedtherelationshipbetweenthedistributionsoftheprominenceactivitiesandthesolarcycle.Asaresult,wefoundthefollowingfacts:1)Thevariationinthenumberofprominenceactivitiesissimilartothatofsunspotsduringonesolarcycle.2)Therearedifferencesbetweenthepeaktimesofprominenceactivitiesandsunspots.3)Thefrequencydistributionasafunctionofthemagnitudeoftheprominenceactivities(thesizeofactivatedprominences)ateachphaseshowsapower-lawdistribution.Thepower-lawindexofthedistributiondoesnotchange,exceptaroundthesolarminimum.4)Thenumberofprominenceactivitieshasadependenceonthelatitude.Ontheotherhand,theaveragemagnitudeisindependentofthelatitude.5)Duringtherisephaseofthesolarcycle,thelocationofthehigh-latitudeprominenceactivitiesmigratestothepoleregion.6)Afterasolarpolarityreversal,thelocationoftheprominenceactivitiesinthenorthernhemispheremigratestotheequator.Ontheotherhand,theprominenceactivitiesinthesouthernhemisphereoccurredinthehigh-latituderegionuntilthedecayphaseofCycle23.
