Werevisittheanomalyofrotationcurveinthenearlyface-ongalaxyMa€‰51thatshowsanapparentlyfasterdecreaseofrotationvelocitythantheKeplerianlawintheouterdisk,furthershowingapparentcounterrotationintheoutermostH??idisk.Weinterpretedthisanomalyasbeingduetowarpingofthegalacticdisk,anddeterminedthewarpingstructureofMa€‰51'sdiskusingthetilted-ringmethod,whileassumingthattheintrinsicrotationcurveisnormal.Ithasbeenshownthatthediskisnearlyflatintheinnerdiskataconstantinclinationangle,butthedisksuddenlybendsatradius7.5a€‰kpcbyabout27?°.Theinclinationangle,then,decreasesmonotonicallyoutward,reachingaperfectface-onringat18a€‰kpc,beyondwhichthediskiswarpedintheoppositesensetotheinnerdisk,resultinginapparentcounterrotation.
