Wepresentresultsofopticalpolarimetricandmulti-bandphotometricobservationsfor?3-rayloud,narrow-lineSeyferta€‰1galaxy1Ha€‰0323+342.Thisobjecthasbeenmonitoredbythe1.5-mKanatatelescopesince2012September,butfollowinga?3-rayfluxenhancementdetectedbyFermiLargeAreaTelescope(Fermi-LAT)onMJD56483(2013July10),densefollow-upwasperformedby100.5a€“2.0-mtelescopesinJapanoveroneweek.The2-yrRC-bandlightcurveshowedclearbrighteningcorrespondingtothe?3-rayfluxincrease,andthendecayedgradually.Thehighstateasawholelastedfor??a??a€‰20a€‰d,duringwhichweclearlydetectedopticalpolarizationfromthisobject.Thepolarizationdegree(PD)ofthesourceincreasedfrom0%a€“1%inquiescenceto??a??a€‰3%atmaximumandthendeclinedtothequiescentlevel,withthedurationoftheenhancementbeinglessthan10a€‰d.ThemoderatePDaroundthepeakallowedustopreciselymeasurethedailypolarizationangle(PA).Asaresult,wefoundthatthedailyPAswerealmostconstantandalignedtothejetaxis,suggestingthatthemagneticfielddirectionattheemissionregionistransversetothejet.Thisimplieseitherapresenceofhelical/toroidalmagneticfieldortransversemagneticfieldcompressedbyshock(s).Wealsofoundsmall-amplitudeintra-nightvariabilityduringthe2-hrcontinuousexposureonasinglenight.Wediscussthesefindingsbasedontheturbulentmulti-zonemodelrecentlyadvocatedbyMarscher(2014,ApJ,780,87).Opticaltoultraviolet(UV)spectrumshowedarisingshapeinthehigherfrequencyandtheUVmagnitudemeasuredbySwift/UVOT(UVandOpticalTelescope)wassteadyevenduringtheflaringstate,suggestingthatthermalemissionfromaccretiondiskisdominantinthatband.
