Theaccretion-poweredpulsarHerX-1wasobservedwithSuzakutwiceinitsmain-onstate,on2005October5-6and2006March29-30,foranetexposureof30.5ksand34.4ks,respectively.Inthe2005and2006observations,thesourcewasdetectedatanaverage10-30keVintensityof290mCraband230mCrab,respectively.Theintrinsicpulseperiodwasmeasuredonbothoccasionsat1.23776sbyHXD-PIN,afterbarycentricandbinarycorrections.Thepulsephase-averagedspectraintheenergyrangeabove10keVwerewellfittedbythea€?NegativeandPositivepower-lawtimesEXponentiala€?(NPEX)model,multipliedbyafundamentalcyclotronresonancescatteringfeatureat$$sim$$36keV,whichappearsverysignificantlyintheHXD-PINdata.TheresonanceprofilesweresuccessfullyreproducedbyaLorentzian-typescatteringcrosssection,ratherthanbyaGaussian-typealternative.Thepulsephase-averagedHXD-GSOdata,covering50-120keV,arefeatureless.However,inadifferentialspectrumbetweenthepulse-decayphaseandoff-pulsephase,thesecond-harmoniccyclotronresonancewasdetectedintheGSOdataat$$sim$$73keV,withadepthof1.6$$_{-0.7}^{+0.9}$$.ThismakesHerX-1a6thpulsarwithestablishedsecond-harmonicresonance.Theimplicationsoftheseresultsarebrieflydiscussed.
