摘要

This paper comprises reflections by the author on developments in culturalgeography in the Netherlands. In so doing, it briefly explores thehistorical context of geography in the Netherlands and considers reasons forwhat could be construed as a "lagging behind" in Dutch cultural geography(when compared to the UK). The paper then zooms in on the local and personalcontext of the author at the University of Groningen, thus illustrating "a"Dutch cultural geography, impacted by research traditions and teachingcontexts. Ways in which research here may materialise into interesting newdevelopments in cultural geography in the Netherlands (and elsewhere) areproposed in conclusion.In diesem Artikel reflektiert die Autorin auf Entwicklungen in derKulturgeografie in den Niederlanden. Der Artikel beschreibt kurz denhistorischen Kontext der Geografie in den Niederlanden und er?rtertGründe für ein m?gliches ?zurückbleiben?, zumindest imVergleich zum Vereinigten K?nigreich. Folglich wird eingezoomt auf denlokalen und pers?nlichen Kontext der Autorin an der Universit?t vonGroningen. Somit wird ?eine? niederl?ndische Kulturgeografiedargestellt, beeinflusst durch Forschungstraditionen und Lehre.
