Business ventures often fail even when market demand is demonstrated and evaluated by peers, and when the project team is capable ofproducing the work. In this informal case study based on the author's own experiences, the topics of market size and fit, team size, humandynamics, business validation, and interaction design are explored to form a picture of how a business with seemingly promising prospects couldstill fail. Specifically, the challenges faced by small or single-person implementation teams are discussed, with suggestions for overcoming thesechallenges to produce more realistic and viable businesses.
